Releases
Install verified archives and cut a release.
Stable releases live in the public GitHub repository. They contain Linux, macOS and Windows archives for amd64 and arm64, a pinned embedded Galleton engine and checksums.txt.
Maintainer workflow
- Update the version in
package.jsonandpackage-lock.json, and writedocs/release-notes.md. - Run
make checkand the docs site's lint, typecheck and build commands. - Commit the changes and push
main. - Create and push an annotated version tag such as
v0.1.0.
The tag workflow reruns checks, verifies that the package version matches the tag, builds all six targets with GoReleaser and publishes the release. It updates the Homebrew cask, Scoop bucket and AUR binary package. After packed npm installations pass on Linux, macOS and Windows, npm publishes using the repository's NPM_TOKEN secret. Manual workflow dispatch can release an existing version tag.
Release notes describe user-visible changes and known limits. Releases are stable unless a prerelease is explicitly requested. Never replace a published asset silently; fix the issue and cut another version.
